You blow my mind!

I have lots of cards that I made for Christmas and otherwise that I have clearly been neglecting to post on my blog.  I will try to show those as soon as I can.

New years resolution (AGAIN) is to be better at uploading to my blog and pinterest.

Here is a card I made for a challenge over at Kit and Clowder classrooms.  I am taking a new class called animals.  I am practicing how to do fish right now.  I love this technique, it is so cool.

I used copic markers to color this digi stamp from Susanas Custom Art and Card Design.  The card stock and ribbon are from Gina K Designs.  The bubbles were cut out with quikutz.  I created a background using Technique Junkies Newsletter 2004 technique called Bubble Backgrounds.

Colors used:  E15, YR14, YR07, Y15, Y11 (Fish); C01, BG000, B000, B0000, Colorless Blender (background)

Challenges: Kit & Clowder - Animals

Camouflage This!

I purchased this Saturated Canary digi and couldn't wait to color him.  I have a friend at work whose husband is in the reserves.  I gave her this card for her son to give to her husband.

He is colored with copics.  The background is done with the new Technique Junkies Sensational Stencil CD technique "Alcohol Stencil".  I love it because it allows me to match my colored image with my background.

I am entering this in Kit and Clowders Anything Goes challenge for October.

I hope you like him and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday - Make it Magical

I just love this stamp from Saturated Canary.  I did her up for this month's September Challenge over at Kit and Clowder classroom.

I colored her with copics (copied Alyce's magical card for the magic dust).

I watercolored the background and cut her out using the Technique Junkies Out of the Nestie Box technique with my spellbinders.  The background is done with an Impression Obsession stamp and distress inks.

I printed off sentiment and added some more distress inks.  I am giving this to my girlfriend for her 40th birthday.

I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by today...have a crafty day!

The background stamp is also from Stampin Up! colored with Stampin markers.

I hope you have a crafty day and thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Graduation Amanda!!!

Tomorrow is my girlfriends' daughters' graduation party tomorrow.  She graduated from UNH this year.  WOW, how time flies.  I wanted to make her a card to celebrate.
Here is what I came up with.  Papers are from Gina K Designs.  The image from Saturated Canary "Graduation Girl 2012" is colored with copics.  Sentiment is from Stampin Up!, 2014 & Congratulations stamps are from Gina K Designs.
I used distress inks to distress the doily and the sentiment.  I used a technique junkies newsletter technique from October 2011 called Double Emboss and Cut on the matts for her and the sentiment inside.  I love the look of so much texture.

I scraplifted the design from
I saw it on google images and just loved it.  Thanks Jennifer...hope you don't mind.

Die cuts are from Memory Box and Spellbinders.
I cut the leaves out of Paper Temptress metallic paper.

I quilled the roses, leaves and lilies.

I am practicing my skin, hair and clothing coloring.
I am taking coloring classes with Alyce at Kit and Clowder.

Hope you like my card and please stop by again.  Hoping to get my mixed media mojo on and share some new stuff I have been working on.  I hope you have a crafty weekend!

Here are the details on my card...

Stamps:  Saturated Canary, Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous, Stampabilities, Gina K Design (sentiment), Make it crafty (Eiffel Tower)

Farewell Picture

I am attending the funeral of my dear friend Raquel tomorrow.  I made a picture for her husband and wanted to do something for her sons, sister and mother.  I am posting them all here.

First is a digi image fro Doodle Pantry called SnowDrops.  I am entering this into this months challenge.

I was talking Raquels oldest son Cody and he mentioned that he loved her birth flower (January) called a SnowDrop. He said it wasn't a boring sunflower or such but it was this crazy flower that blooms in the winter and doesn't look all that spectacular until you see it opened and then WOW what a flower.  It was so touching I made a 5x7 with the Doodle Pantry image.

This image is from Aurora Wings colored with copics.  I made this one for her sister Kelly.  She is so beautiful and goes along with the butterflies that Raquel always loved.

I made this picture for her mom.  The rose is from Aurora Wings, the sentiment is from Gina K Designs, and the writing is from Cornish Heritage Farms.  I colored it with copics.  It was for this weeks Technique Junkies Newsletter try that technique challenge, layered portions.

Last but not least it was hard to figure out to do for her youngest son Austin.  He is such a quiet kid and seems to hold his emotions inside so I had to come up with something on my own (with a little help from Raquel me thinks :))  I designed this one myself and colored it with copics.  I added the sentiment to make sure he knows his mom is smiling down on him

Tomorrow will be a very long and emotional day and I am hoping these small tokens will give my friends family some peace and something to cherish for years to come.

Love you guys!!!

Love Tricia

Goodbye To My Friend

It has been an emotional week for me and my friends, we lost our good friend Raquel to a brain aneurism.  She suffered 2 brain aneurisms in September of 2013.  We have watched her fight for 6 months for her 2 boys, her husband, family and friends.  She started at Tufts Medical Center and then transferred to Spaulding Rehabilitation and Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation center with her final stop at Merrimack Hospice.

On April 2, 2014 Raquel left this world with her loving family and friends surrounding her.  It was a sad but extremely peaceful and loving experience.  I will miss my friend but I know she is home with God and watching over each of us.

I made this image for her husband.  Raquel really loved butterflies and this image reminded me so much of her, he said the same thing when I gave it to him...

I am entering this into Aurora Wings - Anything Goes challenge.

Have a great day and hold your love ones is short and needs to be celebrated every day.

Spring has Sprung

Well, I am here is VT enjoying another husband and I will be snowmobiling until the trails close on April 15.  This is the first time in a long it!

Anywho, onto today's card.  I am using a really fun spring stamp from I Brake For Stamps. (Sentiment stamp is from Penny Black). The papers are from Gina K Designs.  I cut out the swirls with my Sizzix dies.  I added some bling with my Sakura Glitter fav!

I had some inspiration (in the shower...which happens more than you think)...I decided to color the birdhouse as if it was made out of wood with my copics.  The stamp is open and allows for you to have some creative license.  I really love how it came out...just like I imagined!

I hope you like today's project, join me tomorrow for some more inspiration.

Have a great day!

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Sunday, thanks for stopping by.

Today's project is a Valentine's Card for my dad.  She reminds me of me when I was younger with all my curls.  My dad has always given me and my sister a Valentine's card signed by just him.  I never even realized it until a couple of years ago when I called my mom and told her he didn't put her name on the cards.  She said 'he does that every year and has since you were young''s only from him.  I can't believe it took me so long to realize it.  So this year, I am sending one to him.

The digi image is from Saturated Canary called "Kisses".  I colored her with copics.  I love the browns and red/violets together.  I used the Technique Junkies newsletter Brayered Rub-Ons for the background.  I used my marbleized technique from Marie Gambers creative backgrounds class on the Color Me Creative Classroom.  I airbrushed some white flowers and added my own sentiment.

I am entering her into the following challenges:

Sketch Saturday
CMC Copic Challenge - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
A Gem of A Challenge - All you need is love
Digi Galore -  Valentine/Love

Hope you all have a crafty day!

Welcome Baby

My mom's friend's son is having his first's a girl.  She is making her some fabulous homemade gifts (quilts, clothes and blankets..oh my).  She asked me to make her a baby card to go with her gifts.

I won the cut file (The Cutting Café) in a blog hop that I did last year to benefit a fellow crafter with Cancer.  I wasn't sure what to do with them as I didn't have a cutter so I just kept them.  Imagine how delighted I was when I got my Silhouette Cameo...woo hoo.

Ok, on to the details.

The onesie, flowers and butterfly were part of the cut file.  The digi stamp is from Dustin Pike colored with copics.  I used the Technique Junkies newsletter "Copic Stencil" behind the elephant.  This is also a technique that I learned from the copic classroom "Creative Backgrounds" with Marie Gamber.  I used my silhouette to cut the paint splat that I used as my stencil.  Stamp is from Stampin Up!  Inside verse is from the internet.

I am entering this into the Copic Classroom Challenge - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Have a crafty day!

Anywho, on to my Valentine's project.  I am entering this into 3 challenges this week.
