Peace Out

Happy Thursday!  Hopefully you are excited as I am about the weekend.  I can't wait for tomorrow to be over.  I am hoping to finish up the home improvement projects that have been consuming my life and my house this weekend.  I need to clean the house and then spend some quality time in my craft room.

I got this great digistamp from Make It Crafty.  I love her.  I colored her with copics.  I wanted to practice my dreds from my "All About Hair" class I took with Suzanne Dean in September.  I love the colors.  I used a technique from the Technique Junkies Newsletter called "Wet Stencil". It is a favorite of mine because it is so easy and fun to do. The watercolor crayons are from Stampin Up!.

I am entering this in the CMC Copic Challenge "A Touch Of Red".

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty day!

Sweet Angel

I love this sweet little christmas angel from I Brake For Stamps new designer Chelsea Le.  I had so much fun coloring her.  The background is called "Distress Stain Dip" and "Out of the Die".  It's another one of my new favorites.

I colored this sweet angel with copics.  I used distress ink around the image to give her a glow.  I cut her out with my spellbinders dies.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up!

The current technique junkies newsletter has a great technique called In the Middle.  It is so fun and easy.  I used a variety of stamps from Inkadinkadoo & Stampin Up!

I shall put this into my stash in case I need a card of encouragement.

Short post today but stop by again soon :)

Christmas Card - Poinsetta

Quick post today!

I love this stamp from Inkadinkadoo so I colored it up with my prismacolor pencils (I know you are shocked ... LOL).  I cut it out using the out of the box technique from the TJ newsletter and mounted it on a background using the technicolor watercolors technique.  I also used the faux punched borders technique.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up!

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty day!

Under the sea...

I found this freebie on the paper craft planet site from sassy stamp designs and couldn't resist adding it to a make it crafty digi sand castle.  I was so excited to color it with my copics.  I popped the mermaid up with popdots and added some glimmer glaze for a little shine.

The TJ Newsletter techniques I used were ghostly spatters.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up!  I don't have a recipient for this one yet so I guess I will add it to the boxes of cards I have.

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty day!

Cravings...What Cravings?

I made this card for another co-worker of mine who is having a baby!!!  YEAH.  I loved this Saturated Canary image as soon as I saw it (before I found out she was pregers...) and was thrilled to be able to use it.

I colored her with copics.  I cut her out out with my spellbinders dies.  I used the out of the die and dotty edges techniques.  I added some distress ink to her to make her pop.  I just love Yellow and Purple together.  The background papers and sentiment are from Gina K Designs.

Nicole was so excited to get a card (and I have another for her once the baby is born...I have already made one but if it is not what I think it is I will have to make another...oh well).

Again, thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a crafty day!

Happily Ever After...

My friend at work is getting married, and I wanted to give her a congratulations card.  I used this sweet little bride from Saturated Canary called Marry Me.  She was so sweet.  I colored her with copics.  The background is a technique from the TJ Newsletter called Mask & Blend and I also used the out of the die technique.  I cut her out with my spellbinders.  The papers are from Gina K Designs.

My Best Friend Kermit

Hi everyone,

Here is a project I did for my best friend for her desk.  When we were in school (over 20 years ago...OMG) her nickname was Kermit. I always try to make her cards with frogs because they always remind me of her.  She recently started a new job and I wanted to make her something for her desk so that when she looked at it she smiled...I think I did it :)

The background was done with the colorwash alcohol and out of the die techniques from the TJ Newsletter.  I added some white webbing to give it some additional dimension.  The digi stamp, which I couldn't get colored up quick enough was from Whimsey Stamps.

I used papers from Gina K Designs and American Crafts.  I cut her out with my spellbinders.  Of course she was colored with copics.  I added a little rhinestone flourish and used a sentiment from Stampin Up!

I hope that she loves it every time she looks at it, I know I smile each time I do.  Have a crafty day and thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday Princess

My sweet niece turned 18 and I made her this card with an image from Saturated Canary.  I colored her with copics.  The background is from the Technique Junkies newsletter called pulled colors...I LOVE IT.  It makes such a unique background.  I added a sentiment from Stampin Up!  I cut the heart base out of my spellbinders and used the cut-out hearts in the corner.  I added some glass effects to them.  She is highlighted with distress inks.  I love this card and my niece did too!

Hope you have a crafty day and thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday

I made this birthday card for my mother in law.  She has a King Charles Cavalier dog and she looks just like this one.  I colored this with copics and tried to get as close to her as possible...see Chilly below.

The digi image is from The Paper Shelter.  I used my Sizzix and Spellbinders dies along with cardstock from Gina K Designs and The Paper Temptress.  The background stamp and sentiment are from Stampin Up!  I used distress inks on the background as well.  I used the TJ Newsletter "out of the die" technique as well.  The pearls are done with my trustee Gold Perfect Pearls pen.

This is a picture of her dog Chilly (left) and her brother Barkley.  She is the ruler of that roost, let me tell you.  They should have named her Queen!

Hopefully she enjoys it.  Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty day!

Trick or Treat!

My other nephew Sam really likes pirates so this image called Pirate Costume Bear by Rick St. Dennis for the I Brake For Stamps store was perfect.

He was so fun to color with my copics.  I found this really cool ribbon at Michael's and thought it was perfect for this card.  I tried my hand at the TJ Newsletter Pulled Colors technique.  It was fun and easy to do (like so many of the techniques).  I have most of the CDs and have been a subscriber for years and will be one as long as Pat continues to publish it.

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty day!

Another Christmas Card

Slowly but surely I am getting my cards done...YEAH!!!

This cute snowman stamp is from I Brake For Stamps called Spread Love - Snowman.  I colored him with copics.  I just love purples and blues for wintery type cards.  I am a winter lover and really love to spread holiday cheer with Cold Winter Wishes.  My family loves skiing, snowmobiling, snow shoeing etc...When it snows we all cheer!

I used the TJ Newsletter for the background called Wet Stencil with Stampin Up! watercolor crayons.  It is one of my many favorites.  I cut him and my snowflakes out with my spellbinders.  The snowflakes are embossed with brillance ink.  The sentiment is from Gina K Designs.  I added a rhinestone snowflake for some bling.

Can't wait to tackle some more cards and I hope you will come back soon!  Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty day!

I made this card for my nephew for Halloween...This little Ghost from I Brake For Stamps reminded me so much of Maxwell that I couldn't resist coloring him up for his card.  The stamp is called Ghost and you can find it here.

The background is a mixture of TJ Newsletter techniques...out of the die, dotty edges, embossed puzzle and antiqued glimmers...whew.  I colored him up with copics and cut him out with my spellbinders.  I just love Halloween and loved being able to create some cute cards for it.

Halloween Fun

Another Halloween sweet image from Chelsea Le Designs at I Brake For Stamps.  This cute little witch is called Sweet Little Witch Cammy.

I will get right to the juicy card details.  I colored Cammy with copics.  I used a couple of techniques from the TJ newsletter called Out of the Nestie box (which I use on most of my projects) and the cuttlebug highlights technique.  I used a new cuttlebug folder to emboss the tree behind Cammy.  I cut my bat and cat out of with my cricut (paper doll cartridge).  I didn't even know they were in there but thanks to my Gypsy I was able to search for them and bingo, there they were. I cut them out of black cored'inations cardstock and sanded them so the features really popped.  I cut the swirls with my new sizzix dies.  The cardstock is from Gina K Designs.  I added distress inks to Cammy's moon.

Well, I better get off to work, thanks so much for stopping by and stay tuned.  Have a crafty day!

Halloween - Cat Style

Good Morning,

I have been so lackadaisical in updating my blog with all my creations lately...too busy creating them (not a bad thing).  I Brake For Stamps has a new release from Chelsea Le Designs and this is her cute little kitten Cammy stamp...isn't she adorable?

I did the background with the TJ Newsletter September newsletter called Colorwash Alcohol.  Wanna learn how?  Stop by the Technique Junkies newsletter and find out more...they have such great techniques and they are sooo easy.  I always use a technique somewhere on my card.

Anywho, onto the card details.  Little Cammy was colored with copics.  The cardstock is from Gina K Designs.  I cut her out with my spellbinders.  The flowers in the corner are from I Brake For Stamps Floral Plate #2.  The leaves are from Gina K Designs Autumn Spendor set that I colored with copics, cut them out and added glimmer glaze to give them some shine.  I popped them up with pop dots.  I added some flourishes and embossed them with gold embossing powder.

So, I am going to try to add all my creations to my blog in the next few days so stay tuned.  Thanks for stopping by.  Have a crafty day!
