D2D Fairy - Glimmer Mist Watercolor

This is a card I did with the new image from Faith at Designed 2 Delight. I used this months technique junkie newletter for the background...its called Glimmer Mist Watercolor and it's sooo easy.

Technique Saturday / Sunday

Wow, stayed up way too late last night and early this morning to try out all the wonderful new techniques in this months technique junkies newsletter. It is the best yet (but I thought that last month too :O) )

I did lots of techniques for backgrounds last night and I am making them into cards today...YEAH...Looks like no one is getting lunch (or dinner) today...

The first card is one I did for my parents anniversary. They are going to be married 40 years on April 5...WOW god love them...not sure how you do that. The technique is called sanded core'dinations and the digistamp is from Digistamp Boutique...sentiment from Stampin Up!. I colored the turles with Copics.

The second card is for my mothers friends daughter who is having a baby girl. The stamp is from inkadinkadoo. I colored the image with copics. The backgrounds is washed colors...I used the ACmoore watercolor paper which doesn't seem to be to great for making the colors pop...I will have to try another type of watercolor paper. The sentiment is Stampin Up! I used Bow Easy for the bow...love that tool.

And last but not least is my masked spellbinders true friend card. What a fun and easy technique that really gives a unique look. I know I will use it over and over. Stamps are from Stampin Up!

In Bloom - AI Float & Faux Postage

Attached is my rendition of Designed2Delights "In Bloom" Digi for March week #3. I colored it with Copics.

I used the TJ newsletter techniques "AI Float" and "Faux Postage". I love the AI Float technique because you always get such different results depending on your paper and how many times you "float" your paper. This card background was my first dip and the smaller paper was a second dip in the same water. I love the result.

I colored my clear jewels with the same colors of alcohol ink that I used on the background.

The sentiment is a rub on from Stampin Up!

Easter Greetings

I made this card using some oldie but goodie TJ Techniques (out of the box (10/04 & morphed oil pastel gesso (2/08)...thanks again Ann for the inspiration. To find out more click on the link on the right side of my blog.

Also, I am entering this into the Copic Creations Challenge 24 - Blogoversary as I colored my image with copics and used their coloring embellisments with copics technique (flower is colored with RV17).

Also entering into the Sweet & Sassy Digi Thursday challenge "Easter" for free digi stamps...woo hoo...

Sentiment is my own, digi stamp is from Dustin Pike and corner punches are Quickutz.

I am sending this one to my nephew for Easter this year along with some coloring pages for him to do. Have another one coming for my other nephew (they are 2 & 4 and sooo cute and loved :))

St Pattys Day

I made these two cards for my girlfriends who I will be getting together with for St. Pattys Day.

The circle punches are done with the antique glimmers technique and the toast includes the out of the box technique.

I went to a local scrapbook store this weekend and they had clear “dewdrops” that you can use your alcohol inks to color…what a great thing. Now I can color them any color I want with nothing wasted…

I used the bow easy to make the bows. I colored each of the images (from Dustin Pikes March release) with Copics. I love the gold sparkle paper. It was perfect for the theme. I also stickled some of the leprechauns for some additional bling…what’s a leprechaun without bling J

D2D March - Old School

Well, I was at a loss today as all of my supplies are not at home but at my "Winter Home" in Vermont. I leave it all there so I can scrapbook and make cards on the weekends when I am not snowmobiling with my DH and DS. Now that the snow seems to be gone, I have to pack it up and bring it home.

Anywho, I wanted to participate in the designed2delight digi challenge and I had nothing...not even adhesive. Well, sort of. I made this card in Word with a design I saw in the Scrap & Stamp April 2010 magazine. I found a bottle of Martha Stewart adhesive that was almost gone so I scraped some out with my paintbrush. I colored with my DS's colored pencils...when in Rome right?

Hope you like it...can't wait to get back to my REAL stuff :) tfl

Designed2Delight March Freebie!

Here is my card for March for Designed2Delight. It was a great card to make for Easter. Happy Easter is pop dotted with a TJ technique called AI Float. It was a left over from another card. I love to use all the leftovers (I have so many). I colored the bunny with Copics.
