A very pink Christmas

I got this idea from Suzanne Dean's Christmas in July post.  I just fell in love with the pink, black and white colors and the snowflake in the background.  

I used an image from Karen's Doodles.  I colored her with copics and cut her out with my spellbinders.  I used the cuttlebug smoosh technique on the background.  The background papers are from Gina K Designs.

Another holiday card

Sundays are bittersweet aren't they?  It's great to have another day off but on the other hand it's the last day of the weekend.  I am crafting in my room today after the most amazing concert last night...my fav of all time "KENNY CHESNEY".  My bestie Lori and I went down to Gillette Stadium and saw the last concert of his Brothers of the Sun tour with Jake Owen (who was fantastic, but didn't play long enough in our opinion), Grace Potter (FANTASTIC) and Tim McGraw which goes without saying.  At the end of his set Faith Hill came out and did a duet with him...WOW.  Kenny was at his best as always.  What a fantastic concert and a great time.


Now, onto my card for today.  I used the distressed window technique from the TJ Newsletter.  The sentiment and background are stamps from I Brake For Stamps.  This was a fun and easy technique for really beautiful results.

Happy Spa Day!

I created this card for my girlfriends birthday. I used a freebie friday digi from sassy studio designs.  I am entering into their challenge "Slippery when wet" on Papercraft Planet.

I used a technique I learned in one of my copic classes on Color Me Creative.  I love the look of the wood.  I thought she looked as though she belonged in a wood sauna.  I colored her with copics.  I found this weeks sketch on Sketch Saturday's website. I used the TJ newsletter "Out of the Nestie Box"...I love this technique because it allows me to have a smaller image area regardless of the size of the image.

Paper Piecing / Dotty Edges

I created this simple birthday card for my father-in-law.

I used stamps and papers from Gina K Designs.  They were great to create a very masculine card.  I paper pieced the packages in the box and the basked.  I used glimmer mists on the banner.  I colored the balloons with my colored pencils.

I used copics around the happy birthday with a technique called dotty edges.  I just love this TJ Newsletter technique.

Happy Saturday!!!

I love a Saturday when I can spend the day in my craft room.  I created this card for my girlfriend at work for her birthday next month.  

The digi stamp is from Saturated Canary.  I colored her with copics.  The techniques are antiqued glimmers and out of the nestie box from the TJ Newsletter.  

I am entering her into the Saturated Canary challenge "Photo Inspiration".  

She was so fun to color and I hope to do some more cards with her in them.

Here is a birthday card I made for my husband's father.  

I used cardstock, patterned paper and stamps are all from Gina K Designs.  

I just love the basket and the stamps with all the things that I can put into the basket.  

I used the dotty edges and the paper piecing techniques from the TJ Newsletter.

Pulled Colors - I Brake For Stamps

This cute little bear is an exclusive from Rick St. Dennis for I Brake For Stamps.  He was so fun to color with my copics.  

I used a current TJ Newsletter technique called Pulled Colors.  I didn't have any acrylic paint so I had to do some improvising.  I tried the technique on several types of papers, regular cardstock, cheap watercolor paper and good watercolor paper.  I also used gesso and then tried lumiere super sparkle. I also did a variance of water and my glimmer mists to see what I got for results.  I will share some of my creations on future projects.

Anyhow, onto the current project.  This cute little bear begged for some halloween colors.  I used my distress ink (mustard and fired brick to make orange) and dusty concord.  I bought some new acrylic paint so that I can try the technique as it was intended...can't wait to see the results.

Christmas in August...Card 1
