Painted Burlap

Time again for this weeks Technique Junkies newsletter called "Painted Burlap".  I used papers and stamps from Gina K Designs.  I airbrushed the snowflake on the painted burlap using one of my stencils.  I added some lace and dimensional pearls.

I hope you will play along this week.  For our fellow Americans, here's wishing you and yours a very happy and safe Thanksgiving.

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty day!

Colorwash Alcohol

Here's another Christmas Card for our friends David & Robin.  The bee reminded me of the ski-doo bee only nicer (hee hee).

Here is the ski-doo bee...
Here's my bee digi stamp from Susanna Loves Stamps.  He is colored with copics.  I marbelized the background and then added some distress ink to the edges.

The sentiment is from Gina K Designs.  The papers are from Stampin Up!.  I used the colorwash alcohol technique on the background of the card and the sentiment.  I popped both up with my pop dots.

Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned, I am on vacation next week and plan on spending some time finishing up my Christmas Cards.

Have a crafty day!

Happy Birthday Nana

Nana is turning 87 next week and I made this funny birthday card for her.

I just love this little monster that I picked up from Susanna's Custom Art and Card Design.  It's a digi (my favorite).  I colored her with copics.  I used my copics and a stencil on the background (learned from my creative background class).  I love how it gives a little something to the image. The sentiment is from Gina K Designs.

The background was done using the TJ Newsletter technique called Distressed Spritzing (with a little twist).

Here is an up close and personal of the image.

Out of the Box

I made this Christmas Card using the out of the box technique.

The digital stamps are from Karen's Doodles and the sentiment is from Stampin Up!  I used copics to color the images with copics.  I popped up Santa with pop dots.  The cardstock and designer papers are from Gina K Designs.

Have a great day!

Velveteen Stamping Christmas Card

Here is my card for this weeks Try That Technique challenge with the Technique Junkies!

This weeks challenges you to use the Velveteen Stamping technique.
Not a junkie?  Click here and become one today.

It's hard to see the swirls on the snowflakes but you can see them much better IRL.

I used Stampin Up! white craft ink and blue chalk ink.
I didn't have a great background stamp with large areas so
I used my stamps and created my own.
The snowflake was cut and inked from a Spellbinders die.
Sentiment is from Stampin Up!
