Congratulations on your new arrival

Hello crafters and Happy Sunday!

Todays card project is a Congratulations card for our secretary at work who is pregnant.  I love this Saturated Canary image that I colored with Copics.  The swirly vine is a Cherry Lynn Die from Classy Cards N Such.  I colored the roses with distress stains.  The sentiment and flower stamp are from Gina K Designs along with all papers. I cut her out and backed her with a scalloped oval cut from my silhouette cameo. The background behind her is done with a technique I learned from Marie Gambers - Color Me Creative Classroom (Creative Backgrounds).

The background is done with a background technique from the Technique called Emboss Resist Sparkle.  It is AWESOME!  I love how quick easy and IRL it is so shiny.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Sunday, thanks for stopping by.

Today's project is a Valentine's Card for my dad.  She reminds me of me when I was younger with all my curls.  My dad has always given me and my sister a Valentine's card signed by just him.  I never even realized it until a couple of years ago when I called my mom and told her he didn't put her name on the cards.  She said 'he does that every year and has since you were young'...it's only from him.  I can't believe it took me so long to realize it.  So this year, I am sending one to him.

The digi image is from Saturated Canary called "Kisses".  I colored her with copics.  I love the browns and red/violets together.  I used the Technique Junkies newsletter Brayered Rub-Ons for the background.  I used my marbleized technique from Marie Gambers creative backgrounds class on the Color Me Creative Classroom.  I airbrushed some white flowers and added my own sentiment.

I am entering her into the following challenges:

Sketch Saturday
CMC Copic Challenge - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
A Gem of A Challenge - All you need is love
Digi Galore -  Valentine/Love

Hope you all have a crafty day!

Welcome Baby

My mom's friend's son is having his first baby...it's a girl.  She is making her some fabulous homemade gifts (quilts, clothes and blankets..oh my).  She asked me to make her a baby card to go with her gifts.

I won the cut file (The Cutting Café) in a blog hop that I did last year to benefit a fellow crafter with Cancer.  I wasn't sure what to do with them as I didn't have a cutter so I just kept them.  Imagine how delighted I was when I got my Silhouette Cameo...woo hoo.

Ok, on to the details.

The onesie, flowers and butterfly were part of the cut file.  The digi stamp is from Dustin Pike colored with copics.  I used the Technique Junkies newsletter "Copic Stencil" behind the elephant.  This is also a technique that I learned from the copic classroom "Creative Backgrounds" with Marie Gamber.  I used my silhouette to cut the paint splat that I used as my stencil.  Stamp is from Stampin Up!  Inside verse is from the internet.

I am entering this into the Copic Classroom Challenge - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Silhouette - Love U

I used my new Silhouette Cameo to create this card.  I used the Technique Junkies shimmer shadows technique for this week's Try That Technique.

I think I will give this to my son for his girlfriend.

I am on vacation next week and I hope to have lots to share with you.  I am a snowmobiler so Winter is my fun time.

Thanks for stopping by...have a crafty day!
