Well, what can I say, I feel OLD. My son, my one and only child, my baby is graduating this year in June. I am so proud of all he has accomplished and I am so excited to see where his future takes him. I hope he has a wonderful life and is prosperous in every way and as happy as happy can be.
Ok, enough blubbering before I cry. I made this card for him today. I wanted to make sure I had plenty of time to get it done. His school colors are blue and white. I tried to capture the right blue on his cap and gown. He loves his jeans, sneakers and he has a lot of dark purple shirts. I wish you could see how vibrant the colors are IRL.
The background is done with a relatively old TJ Newsletter technique called Bingo Blast. I used my distress ink stains and I love love love the way it came out. I think it is so perfect for the image.
I used a digi image fro Mo Manning colored with copics. I used Stampin Up! sentiments as well as two step stamps for the faux fireworks. They are from a flower set that I have where you stamp the flower petals and these are the insides of those flowers. I thought they would make perfect fireworks.
So I hope he likes his card and I hope you enjoy it as well. Have a crafty day and as always thanks for stopping by.

Happy Easter
The background is made from an old TJ newsletter called Tie Dye filters. I found it in my stash of techniques. I needed a card for Easter for my son. I actually made a similar card using this stamp for him a couple of years ago. There is another technique called block fill from this months newsletter.
I colored the House Mouse stamp with copics.
I hope he likes the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a crafty day!

Spring is in the Air
Don't you just love this "The Paper Shelter" digi stamp? Doesn't she make you want Spring...Sure does make me want it.
I colored her with copics and cut her out using the TJ Newsletter technique called out of the box. I also used the Glimmer Mist Watercolors. I used my copic airbrush to color the flowers. The rub-ons are from Stampin Up! The leaves are punched and I added some stickles for sparkle.

I promise to be better at posting my cards, sometimes by blog gets neglected :(
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a crafty day!

Happy Birthday Mom!
My mothers birthday is May 1. Each birth month has not only has a birth stone but also a birth flower...see below for a list of birthdays with their flower. That being said, her card features a sweet Lily of the Valley stamp from I Brake For Stamps colored with copics. The sentiment and papers are from Gina K Designs. I used several technique junkies newsletter techniques...out of the nestie box, AI Float, and Cling n Scrunch.
I am submitting this card to the designed to color challenge which is the sketch I used.

January Birth Flower - the Carnation or Snowdrop
February Birth Flower - the Violet or Primrose
March Birth Flower - the Jonquil (aka Daffodil or Narcissus)
April Birth Flower - the Sweet pea or Daisy
May Birth Flower - the Lily of the Valley
June Birth Flower - the Rose
July Birth Flower - the Larkspur or Water Lily
August Birth Flower - the Gladiolus or Poppy
September Birth Flower - the Aster or Morning Glory
October Birth Flower - the Calendula (Marigold)
November Birth Flower - the Chrysanthemum
December Birth Flower - the Narcissus
Well, vacation is sadly coming to an end and back to work we go. We had such a great day snowmobiling and enjoying the cold, snowy weather...nuts I know. I love all the seasons!
Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty day.

Happy Birthday Iris..
My husband and I are spending a much needed vacation in Vermont so I got to spend some much overdue therapy time in my craft room (between snowmobiling trips). My craft room at home is almost ready for me to move back into after we removed the carpet and put in hardwood floors. I will try to post some before and after pictures.
I used some Gina K designs paper and stamps (sentiment). I colored this beautiful I Brake For Stamps iris stamp with my copics. The background stamp is from Impression Obsession. I used the February 2009 technique is called Background Smoosh Resist as well as the Out of The Box technique.
I hope to get some more cards done as well as some scrapbook pages to share. I am hoping work slows down enough to allow me to get back to creating. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a crafty day!
