Cards for Papa - With and Without Collage
These are two cards that I made with the Try That Technique for this week...With and Without Collage. I like the results...they are very different.
I am making a box of cards for my husbands grandfather who is in the alzheimers ward of the NH Veterans Home. He has been participating in activities where they take his picture. He wants to send pictures to family and friends to let them know how he is doing. He wanted me to buy him a cheap set of notecards...instead I decided to make some quick ones. These are just simply mounted on a manila note card that I will stamp "Thinking of you" inside.

Birthday Cards for Dad
Today is my husbands birthday. I made these cards (1 for me and 1 for my son)...
The first is his dad card. The digi image is from Dustin Pike colored with copics. The bubble background is from the TJ newsletter Emboss or Die CD called Glimmered Textures. Sentiment is from Gina K Designs.
This one is my card to by DH. I love this image from Karens Doodles. It seems I make him a lot for my hubby. He is colored with copics as well. I got the saying from an online poetry site. (inside says: Mind if I have a Lick?....LMBO)... The background is, of course, from the TJ newsletter called Ghost in the Shadow. It is hard to see in the picture but looks great IRL...
Anywho, better get ready for dinner...have a wonderful evening and TFL...

House Mouse - Glimmering Silk - Special Friend
I did this card for my friend. It reminded me of someone who has a lot to carry.
The background is done using the TJ newsletter Glimmering Silk technique.
The stamp is from house mouse. The strawberry stamp is from Magnolia. I colored him with copics and cut him out with my spellbinders. I used my bow easy for the bow.

House Mouse Christmas - Out of the Box
Another Christmas card done...and having a blast doing them. This is a cute little house mouse design that just screems for winter warmth. I used a Stampin Up! sentiment that I thought was perfect. He is colored with copics. The DP is from Bo Bunny that I had in my stash for a long time. I was going to use it as a scrapbook page background but it screamed at me to be used.
I used the TJ Newsletter "Out of the Box" technique. This is one I use frequently as it allows for more of the background to be used and POPS the image I think. I also used ribbon that I got from paper tempress and my bow easy to make the double bow.
TFL...have a great day!!!!

Tilda - Out of the Box Christmas
Here is another christmas card I made trying out my new coloring medium...distress ink pads. I am taking a class and what a great way to practice. I got some new magnolia stamps that screamed for me to paint them. I used my fiskars doily punch and distress pads to make them vintage. The snowflakes are rub-ons from stampin up! I used the out of the box technique from the TJ Newsletter.
Did a little bit of organizing my unmounted and clear stamps. I need to start organizing my room...I hate clutter.
Hope you have a great fourth of July. Have a great weekend.
