Metallic Bands with a Twist - Fred She Said

This is my twist on an old favorite from October 2006 Technique Junkie Newsletter.  I watched a video on StampTV that used embossing powder to create a twist on the Metallic Bands technique.  I used distress inks on the background.

The image is from Fred She Said colored with copic markers.  I learned a new technique from the Color Me Creative Class 5.  I used layering to make the roses deeper in color.  I love this technique and can't wait to use it more.

Christmas Gift Card - Dustin PIke

I created this gift card (go to Stamp TV for directions...how easy was that) for my son from my mom. Gina K Designs has a great video on how to do it as well as all the measurements.  Have already made 5 of them...woo hoo.

The mouse is from Dustin Pike and I am entering it into his challenge "Anything but a card".  As long as you use one of their images you can play along...won't you join me?  I colored him with copics and a new technique I learned in my Color Me Creative workshop for creating watercolor backgrounds with copics.

I used the out of the box nestie technique from the TJ Newsletter.  I hope to be making some more cards in my upcoming vacation...here's hoping for snow in VT and lots of time to craft.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!

Magnolia Christmas - Cuttlebug Highlights

I used the cuttlebug highlights technique with a cute magnolia image colored with copics.  I used Martha Stewarts punch that I used the brillance ink on it to make it gold.  I tried one of the new coloring techniques on her dress to make her dress a deeper gold.

Gelato Direct Christmas - Karens Doodles

I did this one using the TJ newletter Gelato Direct technique from last months newsletter.  I used a digi image from Karen's Doodles colored with copics.  I used the new distress ink from the christmas bundle around the edges.
