Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

What a beautiful weekend to celebrate the many military personnel and their families.  Thank you for your sacrifice!

This sweet image called Floral Silhouette Bouquet. I used the torn frames and brush wash techniques on this card.

I cut out the flowers with my flower punch and added some punched leaves coated with stickles.  I used my liquid pearls for the pink pearls in the top left.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a safe and wonderful holiday weekend.

Cascading Images - Try that technique

I was so excited when Jane Bosi announced Try That Technique was back.  I love that it challenges me to try to new techniques I may or may not have tried.

I loved this little sunflower from my new Gina K Designs stamp package.  I used the cascading images technique from this months TJ Newsletter.  I colored them with copics.  I yellow CS and background paper are also from Gina K Designs called Sunshiny Day.  I used my pearl pen to make the pearls on the left and right. You can't see it on the scan but IRL the sunflowers are shiny because I added my glimmer glaze.

Have a crafty day and as always thanks for stopping by!

Black, White and a Dash of Yellow

I decided to make my card for this week's The Cheerful Stamp Pad challenge with an image from I Brake For Stamps image called December Narcissus.  Remember to use my code to save 10% on your order.

Come by and join us for all the fun!

I used an older 2007 TJ Newsletter technique called Veined Marble.  This is a really easy and beautiful technique.  I used Glimmer Mists instead of the color wash spray.

I colored the flowers with my Inktense colored pencils.

I am going to give this to my grandfather for father's day :)

Hope you have a crafty day...thanks for stopping by!

I Brake For Stamps - Elizabeth Bell - Double Gatefold

Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there.  Hope you are having a wonderful day.

I wanted to share a card that I made with this cute image from Elizabeth Bell for SCACD stamp company called Emma.  She is so sweet.  You can get her here at the I Brake For Stamps Store.  Don't forget to use my code and get a 10% discount!!  (SAVE10TRICIA)

I colored her with copics.  The TJ newsletter CD called Fancy Folds & Motion CD has a wonderful card folding called Double Gatefold.  This is such an easy technique with such beautiful and stunning results.

I added 2 additional techniques as well.  One is out of the nestie box, this is great technique that I use all the time.  The third technique is the stacked nesties technique from the October 2011 newsletter.  This is another favorite of mine, who am I kidding most of them are my favorites ;)

I added a bit of Crystal Effects to her shirt to give it a little more dimension.  I learned how to do the hardwood floors from my Color Me Creative class with Mindy Baxter called Magnolia 3 - This and That.  I have been practicing my backgrounds and scenes along with that class.

Anywho, I just love the way this card came out.  I got some new background papers from Gina K Designs called "Sunshiny Day".  They are 6x6 papers that I got free with my order...yippee!!!  They coordinate perfectly with their Sunshiny Day cardstock which I also used.  I love papers that match.

Here is ashot of the inside.  I used a new stamp set I got free with 3 from Gina K Designs called One in A Million for the sentiment.  They also have a new lace stamp set that is fabulous called Lacy Borders.

This is an up close of Emma.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

This was such a fun card to make and I really can't wait to do some more.  So hopefully you enjoyed my card and I really wish all of you a very best Mother's Day!

Happy Crafting!!

Tag Challenge - The Cheerful Stamp Pad

Here is a card I made for my new design team position over at The Cheerful Stamp Pad.  The challenge is called "Tags".  Won't you hop over and join us?

Now for the details...

I used the newest TJ Newsletter technique called sponged goosebumps on the background of this card using "Tags".

I used my distress inks in pink and purple for a little baby girl.  The foot stamp is from Recollections and baby hand stamp is from stampabilities.  The tag punch, letter stamps and sentiment are all from Stampin Up!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

IBFS - Patchwork Frames

Good Morning!

Today I have a card I created for my day on the I Brake For Stamps blog

This cute wishing well, one of my favorites for any occasion, is colored with copics.  I decided to try my hand at one of the new techniques on this months TJ Newsletter called Patchwork Frames.  What a great technique that gives you not 1 but 3 frames.

I added a pink piece of CS behind the frame.  I used my magnolia doohickey die for the scrolls which I added stickles to for some sparkle.  The bow was made with the bow easy.  Finally, I added liquid pearls to the top right of the card.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!

House Mouse - Sepia

I stamped this cute little stamp from house mouse that I hadn't inked yet.

I colored the mice with my prismacolor pencils along with my white craft ink.  I used the sepia technique from the TJ newsletter.

The ribbon is from Stampin Up! along with the inks used on the background and the cardstock.  I used my liquid pearls on the white pearls on the right.  I used my bow easy to make the bow in the corner.

Thanks for stopping by!
