Happy Anniversary!

I made this card for my Mom and Dad's 45th wedding anniversary on Sunday.  The image is from Gina K Designs colored with my polychromos.  I created a plaid background with my pitt pens.  I stamped the vase and created a little zentangle on it for something different.

I am entering this into the challenge over at Kit and Clowder.  This months challenge is Flowers.

Inked Pretty

This little sunshine is a digi stamp from Saturated Canary called Inked Pretty.  I just love all their stamps (not that you couldn't tell...LOL).  I colored this little cutie up with my copics.

I used my copic refills and colorless blender to create the background.  Not sure what project to put her on...stay tuned.

Saturated Canary Facebook Challenge

Here is my second entry for the Saturated Canary Facebook Challenge.  She is called Beach Pretty.  She is colored with copics (and my fantabulous coloring is because of my awesome coloring classes over at Kit and Clowder).

I used my embellishments from Kit and Clowder...just love them.  I embossed the background with an embossing folder and used my Gina K Designs Edible Eggplant ink pad to highlight it (Papers also Gina K Designs).  I did the same on the two accent pieces but I used Vintage Paper distress ink to highlight.

C'mon Summer....

Today I am posting my entry for the facebook Saturated Canary challenge.  This gorgeous creation is colored with copics. I used my new coloring skills from my classes at Kit and Clowder online classroom.

I loved coloring her up.  I used my distress inks and some sponge daubers for the background.

Sisters - A journey in mixed media

I colored this merged Saturated Canary stamp a while ago for my sister "in-law" - she is more of a sister to me.  I have been holding onto it trying to find the best way to present it to her.  I looked at 4x4 shadow boxes, regular frames etc but nothing really spoke to me. 

Then I was walking though Hobby Lobby and I came across these paper mache frames and I thought I can do that!

So I bought one...really cheap, only 2.99 and thought well if I screw it up no biggie.  So I watched a few of Gabrielle Pollacco (love her art) videos on YouTube to get some inspiration.  Here is the final frame that I created. 

I colored the Wild Orchid Flowers from I Brake For Stamps with Heidi Swapp's Color Shine Spritz in Gold, Pink, Lavender, and Blue. 

I created a texture paste (another DIY from Gabrielle)...smells good too...and my stencils for some texture along the sides.  The colors along the outside of the frame were done with Lumiere paints (and my finger). 

The metal flowers and rose are from Tim Holtz along with the walnut stain distress ink I used around the frame to age it.

I added some lace around the opening and VOILA...unique frame.  I hope she loves it as much as I do.

You blow my mind!

I have lots of cards that I made for Christmas and otherwise that I have clearly been neglecting to post on my blog.  I will try to show those as soon as I can.

New years resolution (AGAIN) is to be better at uploading to my blog and pinterest. 

Here is a card I made for a challenge over at Kit and Clowder classrooms.  I am taking a new class called animals.  I am practicing how to do fish right now.  I love this technique, it is so cool.

I used copic markers to color this digi stamp from Susanas Custom Art and Card Design.  The card stock and ribbon are from Gina K Designs.  The bubbles were cut out with quikutz.  I created a background using Technique Junkies Newsletter 2004 technique called Bubble Backgrounds.

Colors used:  E15, YR14, YR07, Y15, Y11 (Fish); C01, BG000, B000, B0000, Colorless Blender (background)

Camouflage This!

I purchased this Saturated Canary digi and couldn't wait to color him.  I have a friend at work whose husband is in the reserves.  I gave her this card for her son to give to her husband. 

He is colored with copics.  The background is done with the new Technique Junkies Sensational Stencil CD technique "Alcohol Stencil".  I love it because it allows me to match my colored image with my background.

I am entering this in Kit and Clowders Anything Goes challenge for October.
